This 12 days Uganda wildlife tour safari takes you through Uganda’s different tourist attraction site destinations, that is to say Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking, Murchison Falls national park to spot different wildlife species like the lions, buffaloes, hippos, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes and many more.
The 12 day safari further takes you to Kibale Forest national park for chimpanzee tracking, Queen Elizabeth national park for the tree climbing lions and other wildlife species, Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park for mountain gorilla tracking, Lake Bunyonyifor bird watching and relaxation and to see the zebras and many other animal species in Lake Mburo national park
Program for the 12 Days Uganda Wildlife tour safari
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
You will be received by your driver / guide at the Airport. Depending on your arrival time, if you arrive night time, we check into Imperial Resort Beach Hotel or Cassia Lodge for a relaxation moment after the long flight.
Day 2: Drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
After a cup of tea / coffee, drive to Uganda’s biggest national park (Murchison Falls National Park) which is over 5000 square kilometres. Drive through Luwero Triangle famous with Ugandan civil war of 1980, Rhino tracking at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and to Masindi town or Kabalega Dinners for lunch. Visit the top of the falls and drive to the Nile and cross the the Paraa safari lodge.
Advance into the park. Check into Paraa safari lodge for lunch. Dinner and over night Paraa safari lodge, relaxation. Day 3: Morning Game Drive in Murchison Falls National Park.
An early cup of tea / coffee at 6:00 am and set for the early morning game drive along the Nile river Bank to the broad savannah for the most likelihood Big cats hunting, Elephants, Giraffes, Buffaloes, plus more as the checklist of mammals reaches 76 we continue browsing the Drive circuits to the Delta point for a cocktail of Birds and mammals. If you are a keen birder this might be your magnet to catch them.
Afternoon 2-5pm for a 3 hours boat ride to the base of Falls where you get to see the Hippos, Grooming in there Pods, Nile crocodiles, elephants and a variety of beautiful bird species along the falls. Elephants quenching their thirst for the afternoon sun. Dinner and over night Paraa safari lodge, relaxation.
Day 4: Murchison falls National Park – Kibale National Park.
Have our early morning breakfast, check out of the park and drive along lake Albert, to the escarpment area for a great view of the great rift valley, continue to Hoima town for lunch at the Kolping Hotel, continue through Mabale, Kagadi towns with great views the local community, thatched houses, school kids and finally to Kyenjojo town.
Remember it’s a dirt road from Murchison falls to Kyenjonjo town. Drive 55km to Fortportal town and continue through the tea plantations for your evening. Check into primate’s lodge in Kibale forest for the night.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi walk.
Early morning breakfast, continue to Kibale forest national park headquarters for a morning briefing and start the chimpanzee tracking experience, expect lots of monkeys, birds and lots tree species. Return for lunch at the Primates lodge.
Evening relaxation or Bigodi Nature walks with lots of monkey species. Overnight at Primates lodge.
Day 6: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National park through the crater lakes and on to the main road. Check in on time at Kasenyi safari campfor lunch and get ready for an evening boat ride on the Kazinga channel.
Day 7: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive through to Kasenyi crater lakes and Lake Munyanyange for bird viewing and salt mining. Return later to our lodge for lunch, dinner and Overnight. Kasenyi Safari Camp.
Day 8: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park
Drive through Ishasha, chances of tree climbing lions, buffalloes, hippos and many more. Lunch at Savannah Resort and continue to Bwindi and check into Silverback Lodge.
Day 9: Gorilla Trekking Experience
After an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide, you will enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you locate a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored.
Return to Silverback lodge for an overnight
Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi Adventure.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi through Bwindi forest and along Lake Bunyonyi. Check into Birdnest lodge for lunch and evening canoeing overnight.
Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park
Drive to Lake Mburo National Park for evening boat ride, accommodation at the Mihingo Lodge.
Day 12: Departure Day.
Morning breakfast, nature walk and drive back to Kampala for an evening flight. Stopover at the Uganda Equator line.
